District 2 - Supervisor Karen Blue

Karen Blue was elected as Supervisor for Montgomery County District 2 in 2005. She is an Iowa State University graduate. Previous work experience includes school teacher, clothing store owner, Iowa Workforce Development and JII salespeson. She spent 10 years in city government - first on the City Council and then as Mayor of Red Oak. Now she is employed by Red Oak Concepts as a salesperson.

In her role as a County Supervisor Karen serves on the following Boards:

• SW Iowa Juvenile Detention Board
• Western Iowa Tourism
• 4th Judicial District Court Board of Corrections
• Enterprise Zone
• Montgomery County Hospital (non-voting)
• Red Oak Chamber & Industry Association (non-voting)

Karen also represents Montgomery County at meetings of the Red Oak Industrial Foundation and the Montgomery County Hospital Board.

Karen and her late husband Rich have 5 children, 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
