Anderson Conservation AreaThe Anderson conservation Area totals 244 acres in size. The purpose of this area is to provide a place and facilities for environmental education as well as wildlife preservation. Located on the property is the Wolfe Nature Center which contains the office, maintenance facilities, environmental education displays and a meeting room. The area is managed for upland game and a native prairie area. FishingFishing is allowed during park hours in the 15 acre pond. The pond boasts fish species such as Bluegill and Crappie. State fishing laws and regulations must be obeyed. HuntingHunting is prohibited on the entire Anderson Conservation area. CampingThere is no camping at the Anderson Conservation Area. TrailsThere are approximately 2 miles of scenic walking trails on this piece of land. LocationThe Anderson Conservation area is located at 2059 190th St in Red Oak Township, 2 1/2 miles northeast of Red Oak. |
