County Jail

On August 3, 2010 Montgomery County voters answered in favor of the Joint Law Enforcement Center referendum question by a margin of 1,402 YES responses to 367 NO responses. With 79% of voters answering yes, the Law Enforcement Center referendum has passed. The process will continue moving forward as the County pursues hiring an architect for the project. Jon Spunaugle

At the December 17, 2009 Board of Supervisors meeting Jon Spunaugle was appointed Chief Deputy for the Montgomery County Sheriff's department. Click here to view a larger picture of his appointment as he shakes hands with Sheriff Joe Sampson.

Whether recording a real estate document; applying for a marriage license; requesting a certified birth, death or marriage certificate; purchasing hunting/fishing licenses; registering and/or titling boats, snowmobiles, ATVs or ORVs; or applying for a US Passport; the customer now has the payment options of cash, personal/business check, money order, or Visa/Mastercard.
